As one of the most misunderstood disorders to be named in the 20th century, ADHD has a diagnosis that often raises as many questions as it answers. Not every child with ADHD will undergo the same treatment for it. At Prime Pediatrics & Adolescent, we offer full ADHD evaluation and treatment services tailored to your child’s needs.
Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and Influenza can pose significant risks to children’s health if not managed properly. Prime Pediatrics is equipped to provide testing, treatment and vaccination (if applicable) for Influenza A, Influenza B, and RSV. If your child is showing symptoms, give us a call today to determine whether testing is appropriate.
Urine dipsticks are used to determine if any abnormalities are present in a patient’s urine. Certain abnormalities can point to kidney issues, liver issues and other problems that may affect the urinary system. As it is at most pediatric offices, urine testing is a regular part of treatment and diagnosis at Prime Pediatrics & Adolescent.
Prime Pediatrics & Adolescent offers a full range of vision and hearing screening services. Though one might assume seeing a separate specialist for these screenings would make sense, conducting screenings with your general pediatric practitioner is a good way to ensure the doctor has a well-informed understanding of your child’s health.
We perform sport physicals for children of all ages. Sport physicals are designed to ensure that children are able to participate in different sports.
We offer both rapid strep testing to diagnose streptococcal pharyngitis. A rapid strep test involves swabbing the throat and testing for the bacteria that causes strep throat. If the test is positive, the physician will likely prescribe antibiotics. If the test is negative but the doctor still suspects strep throat, a full throat culture is likely to follow. These results generally take one to two days.
Our lactation consultation services are designed to help new and expectant mothers to prepare themselves for the various challenges of breastfeeding. From low milk production to trouble latching on, nursing pains and other issues, we have the training and expertise to help you handle your child’s infancy and feeding in the safest way possible.
